Traditional Labor Law Associate - Silicon Valley, CA
Law Firm seeking experienced Traditional Labor Law Associate to join our team in Silicon Valley, CA. This is a full-time, hybrid position with the potential for remote work. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in litigation or advice work as an attorney, with a preference for traditional labor experience. A JD from an ABA accredited law school and admission to the CA Bar are required for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Represent employers in all facets of traditional labor relations, including NLRB charges, elections, collective bargaining, and grievance proceedings. - Provide legal advice on federal and California workplace laws, wage and hour issues, and leave management. - Review handbooks, policies, and forms for compliance with state and federal laws. - Conduct management training on labor relations, workplace issues, and harassment and discrimination prevention. - Other duties as assigned, including due diligence for workplace law issues in acquisitions/mergers.
Requirements:
- JD from ABA accredited law school. - 4-6 years of experience in litigation or advice work as an attorney. - Traditional labor experience preferred. - Admission to the CA Bar. - Understanding of current state and federal agency enforcement techniques preferred. - Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational and project management skills. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required. - May require occasional business travel.
Salary Information:
- Expected salary range of $208,000-$225,000. - Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
