Law Firm is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Title Paralegal to join our Real Estate department in the Midlands area of South Carolina. This full-time position will be based in either Irmo or Columbia and requires a minimum of three to five years of experience in real estate, specifically in preparing title commitments and conducting residential title searches. A Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certification is preferred, and candidates must hold a valid SC Notary Certificate.
Responsibilities: • Prepare and review title commitments for accuracy and completeness. • Conduct thorough residential title searches, including researching property records and identifying any potential issues or defects. • Communicate with clients, attorneys, and other parties involved in the real estate transaction to ensure a smooth and timely closing process. • Assist attorneys in drafting and reviewing legal documents related to real estate transactions. • Maintain organized and up-to-date files and records. • Utilize analytical skills to handle a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications: • 3-5 years of experience in real estate, specifically in preparing title commitments and conducting residential title searches. • Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certification preferred. • SC Notary Certificate required. • Detail-oriented with a strong attention to accuracy and completeness. • Ability to handle a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication and organization skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
