Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed review and analysis of complex tax returns.
- Work on multiple complex issues and communicate in a non-technical manner.
- May have people leadership responsibilities and train and develop staff members.
- Serve as the Tax client service coordinator.
- Review research findings and ensure conclusions are consistent with firm policies and professional standards.
- Assist with new business development and extended service and tax issue recognition for existing clients.
- Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Some travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or business-related field.
- Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam, EA or a licensed JD.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in public accounting with an emphasis on taxation.
- Experience preparing and reviewing returns with one or more of the following: Partnership, S Corporation or C Corporation.
- Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work in a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters of Accounting, Masters of Taxation or MBA preferred.
- Active CPA, JD/LLM, or EA.
- Experience with private client or business taxation.
- Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation.
- Experience preparing or reviewing accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740’s.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in dealing with international tax matters is a plus.

Compensation Range: $76,300 - $144,100
- Starting rate for interns and associates depends on factors such as education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc.
- Pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Discretionary Bonus:
- Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
- Range typically $2,500 - $12,500.
