Job Title: Tax Staff Associate
Job Summary: As a Tax Staff Associate at Barnes Dennig, you will have the opportunity to put your hard work and education to use by working directly with clients and transforming their businesses. You will be a trusted tax expert and advisor, helping our clients navigate complex tax issues and finding solutions to achieve their financial goals. Responsibilities: • Build relationships with clients and work directly with them as a trusted tax expert and advisor • Discover solutions to complex tax issues • Apply your accounting skills to help clients in the not-for-profit sector fulfill their missions or build success for companies in other primary areas of practice • Think strategically and see beyond the numbers • Prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications: • Pursuing or have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Master of Science in Accounting or Taxation, JD or LLM Degree (undergraduate degree in Accounting preferred) • Interest in all aspects of Tax and desire to pursue a career in public accounting by meeting CPA minimum eligibility requirements • Strong academic qualifications • Relevant work experience such as internships, previous part-time and/or on-campus employment, etc. • Strong skillset in leadership, customer service, verbal and written communication, and organization • Ability to interact with all levels inside and outside the organization, take initiative, anticipate problems and formulate resolutions, exercise good judgment/decision making, and work independently
