As a boutique practice within a larger firm, BDO's Private Client Services offers a high touch approach to serving high net-worth individuals and families. We are currently seeking a Tax Senior Manager to join our team in Chicago, IL.
In this role, you will utilize your educational background and professional experience to provide tax compliance and consulting services to our high net-worth clients. You will also have the opportunity to manage tax and consulting engagements, identify and address client needs, and provide executive presence as the primary client contact for issue resolution. Additionally, you will supervise and develop junior team members, expand your understanding of tax concepts and developments, and contribute to business development efforts.
Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics, with a preference for a Master's degree in Accountancy or Taxation. You should have at least seven years of prior experience in accounting, finance, or law, with prior experience in private client services and supervisory experience preferred. You should also hold a Certified Public Accountant credential, Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent ("EA") credential, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or the equivalent of one of these designations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax compliance process software is required, with experience in tax research tools preferred.
