Summary:
BDO, a leading accounting and advisory organization, is seeking a talented and experienced Tax Senior Manager to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert guidance to clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, while also identifying opportunities to minimize tax burden and compliance costs. As a member of our leadership team, you will actively participate in marketing, networking, and business development, while also maintaining client relationships and acting as a primary contact for complex tax issues.
Job Duties:
- Provide tax compliance services, ensuring clients are in compliance with all applicable authorities and minimizing their tax and reporting burdens. - Conduct top-level review of tax returns and resolve any issues with clients. - Identify when research is needed and effectively report analysis to clients. - Apply ASC 740-10 (FAS 109 and FIN 48) standards correctly and proactively. - Assist with developing and implementing tax strategies to maximize client benefits and decrease taxes. - Develop in-depth understanding of one or more areas of taxation. - Introduce and develop new ideas to improve client position and Firm success. - Act as a supervisor for associates and senior associates, reviewing their work and providing feedback. - Train and mentor managers and staff on tax issues and research skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics required. - Master's in Accountancy or Taxation preferred. - Eight or more years of relevant tax experience in public accounting, private industry, or consulting/professional services. - CPA certification, Attorney, or Enrolled Agent (EA) required. - Industry expertise in one or more tax specialties preferred. - Prior supervisory experience required.
