BDO, a leading global accounting and advisory firm, is seeking a Tax Senior Manager for our Core Tax Services team in Boston, MA. In this role, you will have the opportunity to advise clients on tax implications and minimize their tax burdens while actively participating in business development and maintaining client relationships.
Responsibilities Include:
- Advising clients on tax implications and minimizing tax burdens - Evaluating and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance - Acting as primary client contact for complex tax issues - Applying knowledge to understand potential tax issues and risks - Making top-level decisions on filing, preparation, and resolution of questions from federal/state agencies - Participating in marketing, networking, and business development within area of expertise - Managing workload and providing performance feedback to team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics - Master's in Accountancy or Taxation preferred - CPA, Attorney, or IRS Enrolled Agent certification required - 8 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or consulting/professional services - Industry expertise in one or more tax specialties preferred - Prior supervisory experience required
