H1: SAIC is seeking experienced Systems Engineers to join our National Intelligence Community (NIC) business unit in Fort Meade, MD.
H2: Join our team and make a difference in digital modernization programs for cloud, cyber, data, AI/ML, and software solutions.
The Systems Engineer will provide System Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) services in conducting acquisition and technical support activities. This includes creating and/or adopting innovative IT solutions and development through the use of both government and industry tools/software. The successful candidate will work towards reducing/eliminating legacy systems and transitioning their key capabilities to modernized tools and technical debt from services. They will also play a key role in deploying capabilities and solutions across various networks and environments at different classification levels.
Staffing for this program will begin in January 2024. The successful candidate will have experience applying systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases and will be comfortable interacting with the Government and other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. They will also be responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents. - Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) such as the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Service-oriented Architecture. - Assist with the allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel component. - Coordinate the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross-discipline coordination. - Perform analysis of technical alternatives for a project and make preliminary recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. - Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. - Experience with systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases. - Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Service-oriented Architecture. - Strong communication skills and ability to interact with various stakeholders.
