Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW The primary responsibility of the Supervisor - Corporate Accounting is to assist in the management of the global consolidation process, collaborate with other departments and global counterparts to ensure the proper application of U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies, assist with the preparation of SEC financial statements, perform technical accounting research and assist with special projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES *Assist with the monthly corporate consolidation and financial closing process *Provide accurate, timely and usable reports to department heads and management team *Assist with the governance and maintenance of the existing Accounting Manual that covers our most prevalent transactions, including chart of account definitions, account reconciliations, etc. *Coordinate Corporate Accounting department activities with our global counterparts as well as with other departments within the organization *Assist with global and domestic finance/accounting related projects *Perform technical accounting research and drafts memos to support accounting positions *Assist with all functions of LVSC's external financial reporting process when needed (SEC filings, Audit Committee materials, etc.) *Coordinate and contributes to the review of complex contracts to ensure proper accounting treatment *Ensure proper preparation and review of all responses to information document requests from external auditors *Advise management of problem areas and requests assistance as necessary *Identify potential problems, recommend sound solutions and support implementation. *Support departmental and company decisions, even if unpopular. *Provide input into and executes strategic plan for Corporate Accounting consistent with the strategic vision of LVSC *Safety is an essential function of this job *Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job *Performs other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS *21 years of age. *Proof of authorization to work in the United States *Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred *4-8 years finance/accounting experience; with minimum of 2-4 years' experience in large public accounting firm *Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience. *Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to:
*Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation. *Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts. *Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts. *Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel. *Work in a fast-paced and busy environment. *Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
