Responsibilities: • Develop and deliver curriculum for clinical education and case supervision for law students • Teach classes on lawyering and advocacy skills, housing law, civil procedure, ethics, professionalism, and systemic advocacy • Supervise second- and third-year law students in representing clients in housing matters • Oversee student evaluations • Plan and participate in community presentations and outreach events • Provide direct client representation as needed • Serve as liaison to area law schools • Collaborate with other RFJ advocacy units • Participate in student recruitment and organizational resource development
Qualifications: • Member of DC Bar (preferred) or eligible to waive in • Prior litigation experience • Excellent communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Strong work ethic • Client-centered approach to advocacy • Passion for teaching and mentoring law students • Preferred qualifications: clinical education experience, Spanish language skills, experience advocating for low-income persons
