# Summer Associates Program at Blanco Tackabery
The Blanco Tackabery Law Firm offers a Summer Associates Program for first- and second-year law students to gain valuable experience and insight into various practice areas and the legal profession. The program is designed to provide practical experience and allow participants to experience the professional and personal environment at Blanco Tackabery.
## Program Description
The Summer Associates program operates on a rotational basis. The program is a half-summer internship with the associates assigned to each of the firm’s practice areas for a predetermined length of time. The program allows a continual flow of projects, broad practice area exposure and the opportunity to work one-on-one with each senior attorney.
Summer Associates have the opportunity to observe and participate in trials, real estate and business closings, depositions, mediations and client meetings. The program is designed to provide practical experience and allow participants to experience the professional and personal environment at Blanco Tackabery.
## Qualifications and Application
Applicants must be first- or second-year law students. We regularly collect resumes from the placement offices at North Carolina law schools and other law schools in the Southeast. We also welcome and encourage students from law schools located throughout the country to contact us directly.
