Dinsmore & Shohl, a highly-regarded national law firm, is currently seeking applications from first-year law students for our 2025 Summer Program. This program is available for non-IP positions in Cincinnati and Columbus, OH; Lexington, KY; and Charleston, WV. With over 750 attorneys in 30 cities, Dinsmore & Shohl offers a diverse and dynamic environment for law students to gain valuable experience and develop their legal skills.
To be considered for this program, 1L students must have a strong academic record, excellent research and writing abilities, and involvement in extracurricular activities or previous employment in leadership positions. We also look for maturity, responsibility, and strong interpersonal skills in our applicants.

Our goal is to help students understand the needs of our clients and equip them with the necessary tools to succeed in their legal careers. Our attorneys also provide oral and written feedback on each project undertaken by a summer associate, and a formal evaluation is conducted to identify areas for improvement.
In addition to professional development, we also believe in creating a fun and welcoming environment for our summer associates. We organize various social activities to help students explore the city, network with their peers, and build personal and professional relationships.
