IT manages all of our technology, from our point-of-sale systems in stores to the desktop computer at home office and everything in between. They keep us connected in all areas of the business!
Our IT Merchandising and Distribution Systems team has an internship opportunity available for Summer 2022. At the end of the program, the interns will have a better understanding of the IT function within Designer Brands.
*Internships will begin Summer 2022 (Mid to late May) and last for 12 weeks. *All interns are full-time, paid positions based in Columbus, OH (hybrid - onsite & remote) *All interns must be able to pay for their own housing and transportation while in Columbus *Only the candidates who meet the internship requirements will be contacted for interviews *All interns will be required to complete a project at the end of the internship program *This opportunity is only open to SOPHOMORE, JUNIOR, and SENIOR candidates at this time, local candidates preferred *Relocation and housing expenses will not be covered by Designer Brands
QUALIFICATIONS:
*Front-end knowledge with Modern Angular web application framework. *Back-end knowledge of Node.js server applications *Past experience (even if school project) with one or more of the following:
*Designing responsive UI web application *Oracle SQL Development *Azure DevOps *Full-stack development *Authentication with active directory system *Source Control experience with GitLab or similar tool
*Possess a hunger for knowledge *Have a proactive and deliberative mindset towards success *Knowledge of Supply chain and/or Retail Industry a plus *Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills *Collaborate with team members on new projects and ideas *Possess ability to communicate clearly with project team
