Work type: Part Time Hourly Location: Columbus - Franklin, IN Categories: Student Affairs/Student Services, Other General Purpose and Scope of the position: Serve as the point of contact for Student Success areas including Ivy Cares (wrap- around/student success support) and Student Life. This is a part-time position that reports to the Director Student Life, Leadership, and Development. Major Responsibilities: Provide support for students facing non-academic challenges by assisting them with accessing campus and community resources that foster student persistence Provide assistance to the Director of Student Life, Leadership, and Development in managing the Hub and food pantries across campus sites. Assist with managing student emergency funding requests, including but not limited to, tracking, communication, and outreach. Assist with managing inventory associated with Ivy Cares including tracking, communication, and outreach. Develop and maintain good working relationships with community agencies Represent the Columbus Service Area on community and statewide committees as needed. Assist with programming through Student Life and Ivy Cares, which may occasionally include evenings and weekends and travel to the Columbus Service Area sites. Demonstrate strong commitment to student development and success through advocacy, positive attitude, adaptability, approachability, problem solving, and support Engage in behaviors that create an inclusive environment in which all people are valued, supported, and respected Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree One to two years of work experience in a related field Effective verbal and written communication skills Strong administrative and computer skills Contribute to a team environment Ability to partner well with colleagues both in and outside of the organization. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree Experience working in an educational setting.
