Position Overview: - Staff attorney responsible for handling a variety of civil cases, with a focus on family law and orders of protection - Based at LSSM's Springfield office - Must be licensed to practice law in Missouri - Requires excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills - Ability to work effectively with low-income clients - Travel required
Responsibilities: - Handle a wide range of civil cases with emphasis on family law and orders of protection - Provide legal representation and advocacy for low-income clients - Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide legal advice - Work collaboratively with other attorneys and staff to ensure effective and efficient delivery of legal services - Travel to various locations within Missouri as needed
Qualifications: - Must be licensed to practice law in Missouri - Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills - Ability to work effectively with low-income clients - Demonstrated commitment to poverty law - Travel required
