We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Staff Attorney to join our team in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
As a Staff Attorney at DPLS, you will have the opportunity to make a long-term impact by advocating for racial justice and providing legal services to those in need. In addition, we offer a competitive starting salary of $70,000 for attorneys with 2 or more years of experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes 6 weeks of paid leave, 15 paid holidays, employer-paid insurance coverage, a 34-hour 4-day work week, and a matching 401(k) plan.
To be considered for this position, you must have a JD degree and be licensed to practice in South Dakota, or be eligible to take the next South Dakota Bar Exam. We are looking for a bright, motivated, self-starter who is able to handle a significant caseload in a variety of legal areas and make regular court appearances. Previous experience or a strong interest in poverty law and working with Native American and low-income clients is preferred. Some same-day travel may be required.
