Description
- Seeking a staff attorney for the Battle Creek office of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** (LSSCM) - Caseload includes direct service and impact work in domestic cases, may also include other substantive areas - Focus on community relations by engaging with the public and partner service providers - Hybrid work schedule currently in place at Battle Creek office - Part of Michigan Advocacy Program (MAP) with a mission to advance safety, independence, and economic stability for those affected by poverty and other oppressive systems - MAP has been providing civil legal aid for over 50 years and currently manages six statewide programs in addition to LSSCM
Qualifications
- Must be licensed to practice law in Michigan, qualified to be admitted by waiver, or able to take the next Michigan bar exam - Demonstrated commitment to serving low-income individuals and underserved populations through lived or learned experience - Legal aid and/or litigation experience is a plus
