Job Description
The SR. BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST, MP&A SYSTEMS formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and retail industry requirements. With this knowledge, develops or modifies complex solutions, including analysis of business and user needs, defining, and describing functionality and capabilities, and creating documentation requirements across the supply chain portfolio of applications and processes, specifically Merchandise Planning. The candidate must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with business and technical teams while driving project deliverables. This includes participating in or leading requirements gathering sessions, creating process and design documentation, and authoring reference materials for end-to-end functional flows and solutions. We are open to remote candidates based in the continental United States for this opportunity.
REPORTS TO: Sr. Manager, Validation and Delivery Supply Chain
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Facilitate requirement sessions with Business, IT, and external resources specifically for new and existing Merchandise Planning Systems *Prepare requirements documentation, including user procedures, flow charts, and functional and technical specifications *Perform gap analysis to identify current state and capture future state *Provide recommendations to management and/or project leadership on behalf of the team *Partner with cross functional IT and business analysts
REQUIRED SKILLS:
*Ability to evaluate, analyze and solve technical and complex incidents or business problems *Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements *Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms *Strong negotiation and influencing skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
*3 years' experience as a business analyst in retail, preferably in Merchandise Planning or other supply chain technologies (Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, and/or Distribution)
EDUCATION:
*Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent, preferred
