Orbital ATK has an opening for a Senior Electrical Engineer in Dulles, VA. US Citizenship is required. Active Secret Clearance is preferred.
Work with a team of engineers to support the Design, Integration and Testing for the Antares program. Primary responsibility will include the support and maintenance of electrical ground support equipment. Support may also include designing electrical cable assemblies, processing engineering design changes, performing tests on launch vehicles, processing test data and troubleshooting test anomalies at the system level or sub-system level. Write and review test procedures for launch vehicles. Perform engineering analysis on electrical systems as needed. Also responsible for implementing internal and customer requirements on electrical systems. Supporting factory and launch site integration, test and launch activities. Travel of up to 25% of the time may be required.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and 4 years of related experience is required.
* Demonstrated experience in space launch vehicle design, launch vehicle and payload integration, system test and vehicle launch activities.
* Ability to grasp system level concepts and aid in functional partitioning of existing systems to the end of developing functional system drawings.
* Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated leadership experience is a plus.
Position may be filled one level lower.
