The Sexual Assault Prosecutor at the Bethel District Attorney's Office is seeking a highly qualified individual to join their team. Job Description:
- Serve as regional expert on sexual assault and sexual abuse of minors cases - Prosecute high profile and serious cases - Provide advice and assistance to law enforcement agencies - Mentor other prosecutors - Utilize victim-centered approach - Obtain search warrants and effectively seize evidence - Present scientific evidence at trial - Serve on multidisciplinary teams to improve investigation and prosecution of perpetrators and minimize trauma to victims - Offsite housing available
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Alaska's criminal justice system and laws - Extensive trial experience - History of handling complex criminal prosecutions - Demonstrated commitment to working with victims of sexual assault and sexual abuse - Willingness to travel within the region, including for trials that may last several weeks

Estimated Compensation:
- Dependent on combination of judicial clerking and licensed legal experience - Base pay varies by location in Alaska, with geographical pay differences ranging from 0% to 60% - Attorneys can promote from Attorney 1 through 4 with service and acceptable job performance
