Summary:
Title: Sexual Assault Prosecutor Organization: Office of Special Prosecutions Location: Anchorage, Alaska
- Seeking a highly skilled and experienced prosecutor to handle a specialized caseload of sexual assault and sexual abuse of a minor cases. - Must have extensive trial experience and a demonstrated commitment to working with victims of sexual assault and abuse. - Will also provide advice and assistance to law enforcement agencies and mentor other prosecutors. - Expertise in victim-centered approach, obtaining search warrants, and presenting scientific evidence at trial is required. - May also serve on multidisciplinary teams to develop guidelines for successful investigation and prosecution of perpetrators while minimizing trauma to victims. - Travel within the region is required, including for trials that may last several weeks. - Competitive salary with potential for promotion based on experience and job performance. - State benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, generous leave accrual, and retirement plans. - Opportunity for flexible work arrangements after initial training period. - Interested candidates must submit a resume, professional references, writing sample, and cover letter specifying interest in the position. - Preference will be given to candidates fluent in a commonly used language in the geographic locations related to this position. - Finalists may be subject to a criminal background check. - The Department of Law is an equal opportunity employer and complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
