Senior Solicitor/Associate/Senior Associate, Non-Contentious Construction (0107) - Law Firm
Morton Fraser **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***, a new style and independent law firm, is seeking a Senior Solicitor/Associate/Senior Associate to join their Non-Contentious Construction team. Role Summary:
The successful candidate will be joining the MFMac non-contentious construction team, working on various projects for clients in both the private and public sectors. They will be responsible for advising on construction contracts, drafting and negotiation, and providing support to other teams within the firm. This role also offers opportunities for progression to a senior level.
Key Tasks:
- Advising clients on construction contracts, including drafting and negotiation of various forms of contract - Providing support to other teams within the firm, such as the contentious construction and projects teams - Acting as the "lead team" on some of the firm's largest projects
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified in Scots Law - Flexible on PQE level, but minimum of 2 years' experience in non-contentious construction - Thorough understanding of construction law and familiarity with contracts commonly used in the Scottish legal market, particularly the NEC3/NEC4 forms of contract
Person Specification:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Able to work well within a team and independently - Personable and able to build and maintain client relationships - Confident with a strong belief in personal ability - Committed to providing a good client experience and willing to go the extra mile when needed - Strong drafting skills with a keen eye for detail and a commercial focus - Able to manage own workload and prioritize tasks
Salary and Benefits:
