As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions using Laravel, TailwindCSS, HTML, SQL, and JavaScript. You will also be responsible for maintaining backend and frontend components, database schemas and models, writing and maintaining tests, creating and maintaining deployment pipelines and environments, and responding to support issues and production bugs/outages.
This is a full-time, regular staff position that is exempt from overtime pay. We are open to remote candidates, but at this time, we are unable to consider candidates in the following states: VT, RI, NY, NJ, NH, MI, ME, MA, DE, CO, CT, CA, and AZ.
- Design, develop, and maintain Laravel applications using PHP, SQL, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies - Write and maintain unit tests and automated click tests - Participate in sprint ceremonies and collaborate with product and design teams - Debug and troubleshoot issues across the backend, frontend, and database components of the application - Maintain and develop components for a shared design component library - Perform code reviews and provide feedback to other engineers to ensure code quality - Maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and databases
##Requirements:
- 5 years of experience with Laravel - 5 years of experience with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), preferably experience with a frontend framework (such as Svelte, React, Vue) - Experience developing and maintaining infrastructure for a Laravel application, including CI/CD, server maintenance, and scaling - Experience performing code reviews and providing feedback and mentorship to fellow engineers - Experience debugging frontend, backend, and database issues - Ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers - Experience with database design, SQL, and Eloquent ORM - Ability to turn designs into responsive frontend code - Demonstrated knowledge of accessibility best practices
##Desirable Skills (But Not Essential):
- Experience building and maintaining design systems - Experience with TailwindCSS - Experience with ASP .NET
##Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent education and experience - Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred - 5-7 years of experience in a similar field - 5 years’ experience using Laravel
##Salary Information:
- Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year - Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications
