ROLE TITLE: SENIOR RISK ASSURANCE / 2LOD SENIOR AUDIT SPECIALIST, GROUP RISK ASSURANCE
LOCATION: AIB Group, Molesworth Street, Dublin 2 (Hybrid Working Model)

SUMMARY OF ROLE:
Group Risk Assurance is a 2nd line appraisal function led by the Head of Group Risk Assurance within Risk and reports to the Group Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Group Risk Committee and Board Risk Committee. The Group Risk Assurance team conduct a continuous and comprehensive review of Regulatory, Operational, Prudential and Conduct Risks throughout the Group in accordance with the Group Risk Assurance Plan. Acting as the ‘Second Line of Defence', Group Risk Assurance challenges and influences the business to ensure its control environment is robust and effective to mitigate the risks across the Group and the subsidiaries.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONECAN:
Partake in Group Risk Assurance reviews from beginning to end, including:
*Leading Assurance reviews from beginning to end, including: *Definition of scope, test strategy, execution of testing *Interaction with business areas and key stakeholders *Agreeing issues and their resolution with the business areas within agreed timetables *Preparing and agreeing a detailed final review reports for senior management *Contributions to committee and board reports to ensure senior management are up to date and aware of key compliance issues *Understanding and knowledge of banking / financial regulation.
The role holder assists the team to deliver a comprehensive proactive, independent second line assurance reports for the Bank and associated subsidiaries. Supports the delivery and management of risk based assurance reviews that effectively challenges and influences management / business leaders through the agreement and reporting of assurance findings which drive improvements in the control environment to support risk management practices.

YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW US THAT YOU HAVE:
Minimum Criteria: Please note that the following criteria form the basis of your answers on the application form.
*For this role, there is a preference for candidates qualified or studying for Compliance, Risk and Control or Audit qualifications. *Have a minimum of four years' experience in a financial services risk management environment. *Have a proven understanding and experience of financial services industry regulations, key banking processes, financial products and/or systems. *Have a proven experience of Compliance, Risk Management or Audit in a Banking/Financial Services environment and associated risks, clear understanding and knowledge of control and risk management methodologies.

*Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements - Maintains and demonstrates up to-date knowledge of industry regulatory requirements, and ensures its implementation and monitoring where required. *Risk Analysis - Links risk initiatives into critical business drivers, determining the costs and impacts of the risks. *Investigating and Reporting - Investigates incidents or issues to determine the cause, circumstances, and contributing factors; documents detailed findings and suggests and implements necessary resolutions. *Negotiation and Influence - Engages in discussion to reach an agreement and create outcomes, affecting the action, behaviours, or opinions of others.
PLEASE NOTE: The Minimum Education requirements for entry to AIB is 5 passes in the Leaving Certificate (or equivalent), to include a pass in English and Maths. These must be achieved at either Ordinary or Honours Level. Confirmation of this will be sought if successful for the role.
