This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS *Independently perform experiments and records data according to research protocols. *May maintain and oversee animal colony management and animal husbandry. *Solve problems using combined research knowledge. *Analyze research results. Interpret data and assist in judging validity of data. *Organize data search and analysis procedures. *Assist in establishing test controls, criteria and research standards. *Assist with the design of complex data processing systems to analyze research data. *Accomplish assigned results for projects/studies, or for significant aspects of larger, complex assignments. *Serve as seasoned professional. *May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.). *Perform related duties based on departmental need.
