Job Description:
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is seeking a Senior Real Estate Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will play an important part in assessing and managing legal risk and facilitating real estate development projects across the country. Working closely with team members from various departments, you will provide guidance on real estate projects and associated risk management. This is a hybrid remote position, with locations available in Minneapolis, Phoenix, and Chicago.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate purchase and sales agreements for real estate properties - Negotiate loan documents for real estate financings - Lead and facilitate legal work to close acquisitions, sales, and financings - Oversee all legal aspects of development deals for various product types - Draft and negotiate real estate leases, including build-to-suit and multi-tenant spaces - Negotiate real estate joint venture agreements and provide guidance on corporate structures - Collaborate with outside counsel and legal counterparts on various transactions - Assist with drafting and negotiating service contracts and vendor agreements - Improve processes and collaborate with the legal team
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Knowledge of relevant real estate laws, regulations, and industry practices - Business aptitude and ability to collaborate within a team structure - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to manage multiple complex projects and deadlines
Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is $173,300-$230,000 annually. The actual salary may vary depending on factors such as location and the candidate's qualifications. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for additional compensation, including commission and incentive programs.
