Responsibilities:
- Analyze, manage, and track worker's compensation, general liability, and auto liability claims - Support Employment and Litigation Counsel in handling legal needs for Valvoline Global - Act as a liaison between the company, insurance providers, and third-party administrators - Manage and update recordkeeping system for the legal team - Build and analyze claims reports for insurance renewals and actuarial analysis
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with a focus on law, paralegal studies, or related field - Certified Legal Assistant designation or Paralegal Advanced Competency Examination preferred - Minimum 5 years of relevant paralegal work experience - Strong knowledge of employment law and litigation - Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively - Proficiency with MS Office and legal research platforms (e.g. Westlaw)
What Sets You Apart:
- Experience with Riskonnect, OpenText, or Legal Tracker - Experience in claims management in a law firm or in-house - Knowledge of worker's compensation, general liability, and auto liability claims
