Senior Paralegal - Renewable Energy Projects at RWE Clean Energy
- Location: Chicago, IL and Austin, TX - Full-time, permanent position - Non-exempt remuneration
Responsibilities:
- Draft and review real estate documents for renewable energy projects - Work with title companies to obtain timely titles for projects - Review title commitments and prepare checklists for projects - Identify and prepare necessary curative items - Review project surveys and provide feedback - Attend project meetings to stay updated on status - Assist with late-stage title review - Collaborate with Real Estate and Permitting Law team - Assist with special projects to improve efficiency
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred - Paralegal Certificate preferred - Minimum of 5 years experience in real estate at a law firm or in-house energy development company - Ability to work on a hybrid schedule at designated office locations - Strong time management skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Desire to learn about the company and renewables industry - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams - Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks - Motivated, goal-oriented, and problem-solving abilities - Ability to build relationships with diverse backgrounds - Detail-oriented with strong business acumen - Office-based role with ability to sit, walk, or stand for long periods of time
Salary Information:
- Annual base salary range for this position in California is $83,000 - $124,000 - Salary is based on factors such as scope, responsibilities, education and experience, and market and business considerations - Benefits offered include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays - Eligible for short-term incentives in addition to salary

Responsibilities of a Senior Paralegal at RWE Clean Energy:
- Working with real estate and development teams in the south or west region to secure site control for renewable energy projects - Drafting and reviewing site control documents such as amendments and assignments - Establishing relationships with title companies to obtain timely titles - Reviewing title commitments and preparing checklists for projects - Identifying and preparing necessary curative items - Reviewing project surveys and providing feedback - Assisting with late-stage title review to ensure projects are de-risked prior to construction - Attending weekly project meetings to stay updated on status - Collaborating with the Real Estate and Permitting Law team to maintain processes and procedures - Assisting with special projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications for Senior Paralegal at RWE Clean Energy:
