KPMG, one of the world's top tax firms, is seeking a Senior Manager to join their State and Local Tax (SALT) practice in Houston, TX. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent client service to multi-state companies with state and local sales/use tax issues - Partner with multi-state companies to analyze state tax considerations related to business restructuring projects and intercompany transactions - Handle state and local tax controversies, including preparing clients for discussions with auditors, representing clients at hearings and appeal meetings, and preparing protests - Supervise, mentor, and develop staff members - Participate in business development, management, and delivery of SALT services
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in providing tax research and technical advice on multi-state issues - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM, MST, or CMI designation for non-CPA eligible candidates - Strong knowledge of sales and transaction tax refund claims and other corporate taxes - Experience with multi-jurisdictional reporting and compliance
Salary Information:
