Job Title: Senior Manager, Senior Counsel - Trade Compliance and Export Controls Experience: At least 5 years in a law firm, government agency, or as in-house counsel Salary Information: - Minimum: $199,100 for Sr. Manager, Sr. Counsel - Maximum: $227,200 for Sr. Manager, Sr. Counsel
About the Role: - Seeking an experienced attorney with a passion for export controls and trade laws, and an interest in federal regulation. - Joining the Payments | Privacy | Integrity | International legal team. - Providing subject matter expertise and legal advice on export classification and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. - Operating at the intersection of financial services and technology. - Collaborating with senior leadership and business partners to assess and mitigate legal and regulatory risk.
Responsibilities: - Providing expert advice on export control laws and coordinating cross-enterprise involvement in regulatory initiatives. - Analyzing and interpreting new laws and regulations and devising compliance methods. - Advising on policy frameworks and facilitating implementation with internal stakeholders. - Managing outside counsel for legal matters.
Basic Qualifications: - Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. - Active member in good standing of at least one state bar. - At least 5 years of experience in a law firm, government agency, or as in-house counsel.
Preferred Qualifications: - Background in U.S. export controls and trade compliance law. - Expertise in advising on export controls for encryption technology. - Exposure to EU and UK export control regulations. - Experience with export control audits, classification, licenses, and reporting. - Knowledge of customs regulations, country of origin, and/or sanctions (OFAC).
Salary Information: - Minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries listed by location. - Part-time salaries prorated based on agreed upon number of hours. - Eligible for performance based incentive compensation.
