Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level legal services to clients in the area of employment law - Conduct mediations and trials successfully - Conduct thorough research and analysis of complex legal issues - Prepare legal documents such as memorandums, briefs, and letters - Market yourself and the firm's services to potential clients - Perform discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigation - Manage a schedule to meet production and collection objectives - Close consultations with a success rate of 30-50% - Approve invoices in a timely manner to ensure the financial health of the business - Utilize support staff effectively and efficiently - Update client information and invoices accurately and completely - Share work tasks with other attorneys and support staff as needed to serve our communities - Actively engage in personal and firm brand expansion through social media, blog posts, and participation in boards and organizations - Seek positive feedback and reviews from satisfied clients
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school - Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the bar in the state of practice - 5 years of experience as an attorney - Excellent writing and interpersonal skills - Strong legal research skills
Salary and Work Expectations:
- Salary: $130,000-$150,000 annually - Expected billable hours: 1500 annually - Expected collections: 1400 hours of invoices while working a full-time schedule (roughly 30 hours per week for 50 weeks) - Work environment: Standard office environment with occasional weekend, holiday, on-call, and overnight travel requirements.
