JOB OVERVIEW
Support the Cincinnati Innovation District (CID) by overseeing the daily operations of the marketing communications efforts. Responsible for all aspects of communication and project timelines, overseeing effective work output, a seamless creative process and exceptional client service both internally and externally. Directs the work of the assigned project management team toward delivering strategic solutions that are effective, best-in-class and timely.

Under the supervision of the AVP, Partnership & Alliances the Senior Director for Marketing Communications will oversee the day-to-day management of the marketing, communications, events and esports operations for the Cincinnati Innovation District. The candidate must be both operationally and technically proficient to manage staff, team operations, and outbound produced work, all while meeting measurable goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Daily operational management of all projects and initiatives across the integrated marketing communications team ensuring effectiveness and timeliness. *Consultative leadership for all integrated marketing communications areas (content, brand marketing, social media, digital platforms, events/experiential marketing), providing feedback and workflow updates to the AVP Partnerships and Alliances. *Review all creative collateral to ensure adherence to goals, objectives, and direction. *Organize and conduct project kick-offs and team briefings, including providing all needed agendas, background information, research, action items and delegated duties. *Direct oversight of project prioritizations, timelines, traffic, efficacy of output, assignments, cross-collaboration, and operational needs for an effective marketing communications division. *Oversight and maintenance of all metrics, collective tools, and resources to ensure management of all marketing communications efforts.  *Manage and articulate AVP's direction, feedback to in-house Partnerships & Alliances team or the incoming feedback of other teams within OOI or university as needed.  *Ability to present work to senior executives both internally and externally as needed. *Management of division budget, budget planning, business/vendor agreements. *Maintain thorough understanding the CID's mission, message, services, and innovation partner brands, including competitive and other industry forces that shape the market. *May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).  *Perform related duties based on departmental need. REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
*Seven (7) years of experience in marketing, communications, or similar function. *Five (5) years of experience managing complex teams in a dynamic environment, and marketing communications systems and processes within agency or corporate setting. *Five (5) years management experience of 5 or more direct reports. *Senior level/high profile experience in marketing, communications. *Knowledge, experience with MS suite, Adobe suite (illustrator) or similar, creative process tools and resources (traffic management, creative routing/proofing).
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED
Agency experience or agency management experience as a client is ideal.
