The Senior Counsel, Corporate Legal – Regulatory Enforcement is a remote full-time position with a salary range of $162,000 to $254,000 annually. This position is responsible for providing legal and regulatory advice, overseeing GEICO's engagement with state insurance department regulators, and collaborating with internal clients on regulatory matters. The ideal candidate should have 6-10 years of experience in property/casualty insurance legal regulatory, strong research and analytical skills, and a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. The position is flexible and can be remote, but if located in the Washington, DC or New York City metro areas, it would be a hybrid role with 3 days per week in the Chevy Chase, MD or NYC office.
- Senior Counsel, Corporate Legal – Regulatory Enforcement - Full-time remote position with a salary range of $162,000 to $254,000 annually - Responsible for providing legal and regulatory advice on market conduct exams and other regulatory investigations - Collaborates with internal clients on insurance regulatory examinations and other inquiries - Oversees preparation of research and memoranda on relevant insurance legal and regulatory issues - Identifies and assesses risk exposure to the company during regulatory exams and investigations - Provides strategic legal counsel and educates business leaders on insurance regulatory matters - Collaborates with various departments within the legal organization and corporate compliance to provide informed advice and risk assessments - Limited domestic travel may be required - Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in property/casualty insurance legal regulatory - Strong research, analytical, and writing skills - Expertise in state laws and regulations applicable to insurance, with auto insurance knowledge preferred - Demonstrated experience leading legal engagement with insurance department exams and inquiries - Strong executive communication and presentation skills - Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in at least one state - Flexibility to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize projects - Enthusiasm for working in a team-oriented and dynamic environment - Hybrid role with 3 days per week in the Chevy Chase, MD or NYC office if located in Washington, DC or New York City metro areas - Equal employment opportunity policy in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws - Total Rewards Program including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, and tuition reimbursement - GEICO does not sponsor new applicants for employment authorization for this position
