We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced attorney to join our team as Senior Corporate Counsel, Fair Competition / Antitrust. This position can be based in either Dallas, Texas or Peoria, Illinois. As a member of our talented and supportive legal team, you will provide guidance and advice on competition matters for Caterpillar globally, including issues related to M&A, distribution, and our international dealer model. This is a specialist role with opportunities to advise on and help develop our company's legal position and strategy on competition matters around the world. Your Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and guidance on current and emerging competition regulations and developments - Manage and support Caterpillar's global antitrust / competition law compliance program - Handle legal matters related to competition and antitrust, including sales through dealer networks, direct sales, technology agreements, M&A, joint ventures, franchising, hiring, and more - Manage M&A related competition filings and responses to inquiries by regulators and governments worldwide - Support the development and execution of legal strategy for mergers and acquisitions by antitrust regulators
Your Qualifications:
- J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar - 4 years of relevant legal experience primarily in antitrust and competition law, either at a law firm, in government, or in-house - Demonstrable experience in developing practical solutions for complex legal challenges and providing effective advice to senior level managers - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients at all levels and other lawyers - Knowledge of risk management, decision making, critical thinking, effective communication, and problem-solving techniques - Familiarity with legal analysis methods and tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience advising clients on dealer/distribution related issues, preferably with international companies - Knowledge of complex supply chain and distribution structures - Familiarity with EU competition laws and regulators or other international jurisdictions
Additional Information:
- This position can be based in Dallas, TX or Peoria, IL - Domestic relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates - Sponsorship is not available - Up to 5% travel, both domestic and international

Your Compensation:
Salary Range: $160,200.00 - $240,240.00 Compensation and benefits may vary based on individual factors such as job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, performance, and experience. Salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
