Overview: **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***, a premier law firm with a global perspective and strong New York roots, is seeking a full time Senior Conflicts Attorney to join the Office of General Counsel. This role is responsible for supporting new matter intake and lateral attorney hiring by identifying, analyzing, and resolving conflicts of interest in a timely manner. The Senior Conflicts Attorney will also be responsible for building out the Firm's conflicts clearance function and counseling the Firm's partners, counsel, and associates on conflicts matters.
Responsibilities: - Advise attorneys and others in the Firm on conflicts of interest rules - Review and analyze conflicts of interest reports - Prepare concise summary reports for attorneys - Counsel attorneys on conflicts issues - Assist with drafting waiver letters and engagement letter provisions - Conduct trainings for Firm lawyers and personnel - Work collaboratively with the Office of General Counsel and other stakeholders - Assist in hiring and training Conflicts Analysts - Work independently and collaboratively - Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed
Requirements: - Strong knowledge of conflicts of interest rules in the New York Rules of Professional Conduct - Excellent communication skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Aptitude for learning about the Firm's practice areas and conflict issues - Ability to work independently and collaboratively - Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs - J.D. from an accredited law school - Must be licensed to practice law in any US jurisdiction - Previous conflicts analysis experience preferred
