Law Firm Seeking Experienced Senior Billing Specialist in Indianapolis, IN
Position Summary:
- Opportunity for experienced Senior Billing Specialist to join expanding Billing department at law firm in Indianapolis, IN - Responsible for all aspects of client billing for assigned Billing Attorneys, including complex multipayor, joint, and split billing - Must have knowledge of Elite or Aderant database and table relationships to improve processes and efficiencies - First point of escalation for any billing issues that require the authority of a Billing Supervisor - In-office position, must reside near Indianapolis
Essential Functions:
- Perform full-cycle billing functions, including reviewing time entries, processing edits, and preparing and posting final bills - Highly organized and detail-oriented - Encourage collaborative behavior and assist with training and development of Billing Specialists and Assistants - Proactively seek and provide recommendations to improve billing processes and training needs
Requirements:
- Four-year undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred - Minimum of 3 years of law firm billing experience, preferably in a global law firm or professional services environment - Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and communicate clearly with internal and external contacts at all levels - Strong technology skills, including MS Office Suite and ability to leverage technology in work processes - Experience with Aderant or Elite billing software preferred
