Job Description
The Senior Attorney at FedEx Custom Critical is responsible for providing legal counsel and business advice to the company and its subsidiaries. This role requires a Juris Doctorate Degree and a minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience. The Senior Attorney will review, draft, negotiate, and approve contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. They will also perform research and investigations, and provide legal review and advice on vendor agreements, customer contracts, and company policies and procedures. This position will collaborate with management and external parties to devise efficient compliance and defense strategies. The Senior Attorney will also be involved in the planning phase of various company products, services, and projects to ensure legal and business considerations are balanced. Responsibilities: - Provide legal counsel and business advice to the company and its subsidiaries - Review, draft, negotiate, and approve contracts and agreements - Conduct research and investigations on legal issues and maintain compliance with laws and regulations - Review and provide legal guidance on vendor agreements, customer contracts, and company policies and procedures - Collaborate with management and external parties to develop compliance and defense strategies - Participate in the planning phase of company products, services, and projects - Communicate and negotiate with external parties, such as government authorities and third party counsel - Provide assistance and counsel to all divisions and departments on legal matters and company policies and procedures
Requirements: - Juris Doctorate Degree - Registered member of a state Bar - 6-8 years of relevant experience
