Quarterly Bonus for resolving cases is 5% of the attorney fees collected on behalf of the firm with no caps on bonuses; the only expectation is that you resolve at least $100,000 per quarter to qualify for this bonus Must be licensed as attorney for 2-5 years to qualify for this position; If applying for the PIP attorney position you will be handling a case load of 200-300 PIP lawsuits; PIP attorney bonus- if there is a global bulk settlement- you will receive a discretionary bonus for the work you performed on any cases included in the global bulk settlement; If applying for the Homeowner First Party attorney position you will be handling a case load of at least 100 lawsuits. Be capable of resolving 20 cases per Quarter
Responsibilities for Senior Associate Attorney (A3):
Assist other lawyers as directed by partners; Be capable of standard motion practice and procedure including responding to Motions to Dismiss, Answer and Affirmative Defenses, and file and defend Motions to Compel Discovery; Be capable responding timely to discovery requests and be able to file a Motion for Extension of Time as needed; Be capable of taking depositions of corporate representatives from insurance company, material witnesses on claims, and defending depositions of our clients as needed; Be able to spot legal issues and knowing when to ask for assistance with legal issues; Be in immediate communication with Partner level attorneys regarding if a 57.105, Motion for Sanctions, or Motions for Summary Judgment is received; Gathering the required information to defend any upcoming evidentiary hearings or depositions; Send out settlement offers every quarter on at least 20% of their case load each month; Associates are encouraged to send out more settlement offers when appropriate.
In addition to Associate Attorney (A2) Responsibilities, a Senior Associate will also be responsible for:
Needs to be able to handle a case from filing through summary judgment including conducting the hearing. Needs to be able to prepare a case for trial so that a Partner level attorney can first-chair the trial. Be prepared to second-chair or third-chair the trial. Make sure that all deadlines in the trial order are complied with and that all discovery is completed as needed in order to conduct the trial. Be capable of attending contested hearings including but not limited to Defendant’s Motion for Summary Judgment and court set evidentiary hearings. Be capable to cover hearings and depositions for other attorneys at the firm

8 hour shift Monday to Friday Work day starts no later than 9am (you can start sooner but no later than 9am)
