- Represent mortgage servicer and investor clients in residential and commercial foreclosure, title and general real estate litigation - Handle contested foreclosures, defensive litigation, and ancillary matters - Prosecute commercial foreclosures from start to finish - Analyze loan files, title reports, and other client documents - Draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements - Appear in court for hearings, trials, and appeals - Communicate with clients to ensure quality representation and implementation of directives - Collaborate with support staff for document preparation and execution - Research and analyze difficult cases and provide client advice and potential resolutions - Create matter budgets and seek fee approval from clients - Minimum 10 years of relevant litigation experience preferred - Juris Doctor degree and bar license in good standing in New York required, additional bar licenses a plus - Strong time management and prioritization skills - Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism - Excellent writing and communication skills - Able to work independently or in a team setting - Comfortable interacting with clients, staff, and management of all levels - Positive attitude and ability to handle challenges with professionalism - Physical demands include sitting, talking, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds

Law Firm, a leading firm in New York City, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Associate Attorney to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to represent mortgage servicer and investor clients in a variety of real estate litigation matters, including residential and commercial foreclosures and consumer claims. As a Senior Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for managing and handling a case load of contested foreclosures, defensive litigation, and ancillary matters on behalf of our clients. This includes prosecuting commercial foreclosures from start to finish, analyzing loan files and title reports, and drafting legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements. You will also have the opportunity to appear in court for hearings, trials, and appeals, and to communicate with clients to ensure quality representation and implementation of their directives.
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 10 years of relevant litigation experience, preferably with a strong knowledge of New York Mortgage Foreclosure Law. A Juris Doctor degree and bar license in good standing in New York are required for this position, and additional bar licenses in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and/or Connecticut are a plus. The successful candidate will also possess strong time management and prioritization skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and excellent writing and communication skills.
