Job Description:
KPMG is seeking a Senior Associate to join their State and Local Tax (SALT) practice. In this role, you will assist multi-state companies with state and local tax issues including compliance, advising, planning, controversies, and technical research. You will also have the opportunity to supervise, mentor, and develop staff.
Responsibilities:
- Assist multi-state companies with state and local tax issues - Review information presented on state income tax returns - Research and draft technical memoranda - Assist with state and local tax controversies - Support KPMG audit teams with state tax-related items - Supervise, mentor, and develop staff
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience in tax research and preparation of state income tax returns for corporate entities - Master's degree or JD/LLM - Ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues - Strong writing, communication, and tax research skills - Desire to work in a fast-paced team environment
