Job Summary:
The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***’s Office is seeking experienced Senior Paralegals to provide legal support to the Assistant Attorney Generals in the State Government Division. This position involves researching, analyzing, and preparing legal documents, as well as working closely with a team of attorneys to ensure compliance with legal policies and procedures. Senior Paralegals have access to confidential information and must maintain discretion and confidentiality in their work.
Job Duties:
• Prepare a variety of legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, pleadings, motions, and legal notices, accurately and in a timely manner. • Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda on complex legal and factual issues. • Manage the disclosure process in complex cases, including organizing documents, bates stamping, redacting, and creating disclosure indexes. • Maintain legal records, files, and case management systems.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
• Familiarity with legal concepts, terminology, and procedures. • Strong research and writing skills. • Understanding of the attorney/client relationship and the need for confidentiality. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Organizational and analytical abilities. • Detail-oriented with sound judgment and integrity. • Proficiency in researching and extracting information from legal sources. • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with courts and government entities. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Selective Preference(s):
• Completion of a Legal Assisting or Paralegal studies program.
