Job Description
Performs a variety of security activities to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors. Patrols and monitors the access to facilities and grounds, inspects packages, responds to security calls, and reports and documents all incidents. Responds to emergency situations. Guards and secures designated entrances/exits to ensure that only patients, associates and authorized visitors enter the facility. Interacts and cooperates with Montefiore associates in scheduled rounds and in response to ad hoc security issues. Monitor's flow of visitors into and within facility providing directions to specific authorized destinations. Responds to emergency/unusual situations in facility including fires, disturbances, disruptive patients or visitors and other occurrences when assistance is requested or needed by the staff according to Montefiore procedures & policies. HS Diploma or GED required. Valid NYS Security Guard License.
