ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** Corrections Institute (UCCI) is dedicated to supporting corrections agencies worldwide in their efforts to implement evidence-based practices in offender rehabilitation. UCCI conducts applied research in corrections and translates research into practice through the development of new products and services, training and technical assistance, and program evaluation.
JOB OVERVIEW UCCI is currently recruiting for a highly qualified individual to contribute to the organization's development and implementation activities at the Research Associate level. The selected candidate will have opportunities to contribute to multiple projects including the development of structured group and individual interventions as well as training on evidence-based practices; designing evidence-based programs; delivering training and technical assistance; and comprehensive process evaluations. The selected candidate will work closely with the Deputy Director, Practice and Production Coordinators, as well as other members of the UCCI team to prepare proposals, develop and deliver new products and services, and provide training and technical assistance to a diverse population of correctional professionals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS *Assist with the coordination of research studies in a particular discipline. *Make independent contributions to projects and studies based on professional training or functional experience. *Solve problems using combined research knowledge. *Independently works on whole projects/problems. *Contribute to the collective team effort. *Perform statistical and graphical analysis of data, interpret data and assist in judging validity of data. *Analyze research results. *Organize data search and analysis procedures. *Assist in establishing test controls, criteria and research standards. *Assist in the design of complex data processing systems to analyze research data. *Accomplish assigned results for project/studies, or for significant aspects of larger, complex assignments. *Serve as a seasoned level researcher. *May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.). *Perform related duties based on departmental need.
