KPMG is currently seeking a Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice. Responsibilities:
Oversee client portfolios of various size and scope within the alternative investment fund industry (private equity, real estate and/or hedge funds) Act as the first point of contact for internal and external clients Manage teams of tax professionals/assistants working on client projects Assess tax impact on clients of rules and law changes, develop tax arguments to support conclusions and make recommendations to clients Facilitate risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and the budget for projects Deliver high quality tax services to clients
Qualifications:
Minimum five years of recent tax experience in the alternative investment industry Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list Proficient in the taxation of partnerships and tiered investment fund structures Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial information
