The Reinsurance Claims Specialist is a key role within **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** America, offering an exciting opportunity for candidates with a diverse range of experience. This position involves administering **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***'s rights and duties under its contracts with clients, vendors, reinsurers, retrocessionaires and insureds. The successful candidate will also be responsible for determining proper reserve needs, controlling loss exposures, and providing sound claim services to both internal and external clients. This is a highly collaborative role, with the opportunity for a 6-month job rotation within the first two years of employment.

The Reinsurance Claims Specialist will have a wide range of responsibilities, including confirming and interpreting the applicability of contracts to loss reports, developing and analyzing loss information, investigating and negotiating coverage issues, and implementing litigation management controls. They will also present claims before committees, verify billings and cash calls, and conduct claim reviews and compliance audits. In addition, they will be expected to identify and share information on legal and claims trends, proactively flag potential wording issues, and conduct research and projects as required.
To be successful in this role, candidates should have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and prior legal experience. Knowledge and understanding of reinsurance, underwriting, contracts, and/or claims principles is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as an interest in using technology and data analytics to identify claims trends, are also important. The ability to work independently and in a team environment, superb time management skills, and excellent interpersonal and networking skills are essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software is required, and the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications is a plus.
