Five (5) years’ of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates

Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects.

Baker Tilly is seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Real Estate Tax Principal to join our growing firm. As a key member of our tax team, you will be responsible for providing federal tax compliance and consulting services to our construction and real estate clients. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a trusted leader and advisor, building strong client relationships and making a direct impact on the success of the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a valued tax business advisor, leading client relationships and consulting on technical matters for various clients ranging from middle market to multinational companies in the real estate industry. - Research and respond to various tax inquiries, provide recommendations to clients, and coordinate with specialty tax practices. - Oversee tax planning and review complex tax research for a variety of entities and their affiliates. - Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure profitability targets are met. - Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally, with the goal of acquiring new clients and revenue. - Actively participate in request for proposals to pursue additional clients and services for the firm. - Participate in developing tax service market positioning and branding, strategy, and messaging. - Invest in your professional development and support the growth and development of team members. - Demonstrate leadership, initiative, excellent team skills, and high ethical standards. - Represent the firm at key community events and meetings.
