As a Real Estate Attorney, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including purchase, sale, leasing, and financing of projects. You will also have the opportunity to work with clients on land acquisition and development, as well as transfers of operating businesses and the formation of new businesses. Your role will involve drafting, reviewing, and revising complex legal documents and assisting with due diligence for real estate transactions.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Real Estate Attorney to join our team at a prestigious law firm. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of commercial real estate transactions and related business matters. You will work closely with clients to provide legal advice and guidance on a variety of real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, and easements. Your strong writing, negotiation, and analytical skills will be essential in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for real estate transactions. • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, shared use agreements, and easements. • Prepare organizational documents for homeowner, condominium, and community associations. • Manage due diligence and all aspects of real estate and business transactions. • Communicate with clients and adverse parties in writing and orally. • Provide general counsel style portfolio management for long-standing firm clients. • Support legal and general advisory needs associated with a large-scale real estate portfolio.
Qualifications and Skills:
• License to practice law in Maryland or ability to become licensed in Maryland. • At least 4 years of transactional experience in real estate, corporate governance, business transactions, financing, homeowners associations, or condominium associations. • Strong knowledge of real estate law and industry, including lease transactions, property management, and purchase and sale transactions. • Experience in title review and procurement of title insurance coverage. • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills. • Strong writing skills. • Natural leader with sound judgment and attention to detail. • Ability to work within a team and under pressure. • Ability to manage and meet deadlines. • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills. • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a highly competitive salary range of $150,000 - $170,000 for this position.
