Position will be housed in Roanoke, however, will have opportunities for occasional travel to/from other Carilion facilities and locations. Serves a strategic business partner, leading the development and coordination of organization-wide education initiatives. Provides in-person and virtual training to small and large groups from across the system. Target audience includes both new and seasoned employees. Assists in developing the Carilion workforce through teaching/facilitation, design/development and consulting. Provides basic project management focusing on the education component of a project; includes learning outcomes and development and implementation of communication/education plans.
If selected for interview, must provide 2 samples of writing examples and provide a 5 minute teaching demonstration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing - or any bachelor's degree plus a master's degree in nursing required.
Experience: Three years of hospital based bedside nursing; PCU/ICU experience preferred. Experience with teaching/presenting recommended.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia AHA BLS-HCP required. May be required to obtain/maintain, ACLS, PALS, NRP based on specific work unit.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Must have strong oral and written communication skills, project management skills, time management skills, organizational skills, training skills, customer service skills, and strong follow up skills. Must be able to think critically, be creative and have the ability to take initiative to improve processes. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Must be a team player. Must successfully complete orientation and competency requirements. Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records. Must be able to meet essential job functions.
