Overview: The Fifth Circuit Public Defender’s Office is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Defender Attorney IV to join their team. This position involves handling some of the most complex legal matters and supervising a county office within the Circuit. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and be a member of the S.C. Bar Association.
Responsibilities: • Serve as a County Public Defender with the Fifth Circuit Public Defender’s Office • Handle the most complex legal matters and provide expert legal advice and representation • Supervise a county office within the Circuit • Participate in planning overall legal or administrative activities with the office • Handle complex issues or litigation on a regular basis
Qualifications: • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school • Current membership in the S.C. Bar Association • Valid driver’s license
Salary: The salary for this position is dependent on experience and qualifications.
