The Property Tax Senior Manager - Multistate position at Deloitte is a great opportunity for a skilled and experienced tax professional to join one of the largest multistate tax practices in the United States. This role is available in 24 different locations and offers a competitive salary and benefits package. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing client relationships, identifying tax solutions, and managing engagement profitability. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of experience in property tax, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and one of the following accreditations: CPA, licensed attorney, or CMI. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and developing strong client relationships in various state and local property tax engagements - Identifying client needs and leveraging Deloitte's full range of services to meet those needs - Acting as a trusted business advisor to clients on complex property tax issues - Analyzing property tax considerations in business restructuring and due diligence projects - Managing engagement profitability, billings, and team resources - Drafting and presenting proposals to new and existing clients - Providing leadership and career guidance to engagement team members - Performing high level reviews of complex property tax returns
Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in property tax and working with property tax assessors in at least one of these states: AZ, CA, FL, GA, IL, NC, OH, TN, TX - 4 years of engagement or project management experience - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, real estate, or a related field - CPA, licensed attorney, or CMI accreditation - Experience with property tax compliance, planning, analysis, and research - Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM - Thorough understanding of OneSource Property Tax - Previous consulting experience from a large property tax practice
Salary Information:
The disclosed wage range for this role is $134,960 to $285,740, taking into account various factors such as skills, experience, and location. Deloitte typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are based on individual circumstances.
